General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for Online Business of MOTO-ZÜRICH

Vollenweider & Schweizer GmbH, as the organizer of MOTO-ZÜRICH ("we" or "MOTO-ZÜRICH"), offers its customers various products and services online. The online ordering and use of products and services is based on the following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for Online Business.

1. Products and Services

1.1 Online Offers

MOTO-ZÜRICH offers the online sale of various products or a payment service. Customers can purchase the following products or make payments online, among others:

Admission Tickets and Vouchers
The customer can purchase admission tickets for MOTO-ZÜRICH online or convert vouchers into admission tickets.
Admission tickets are personal and non-transferable.
A unique barcode/QR code is printed on each admission ticket, which is electronically checked for validity upon entry to the exhibition halls. Any printed name or company name will not be checked at this point.
Data Transfer upon Voucher and Code Redemption If the customer redeems a voucher or a priority code from a MOTO-ZÜRICH partner/exhibitor, the partner/exhibitor receives data about the redeemed admission ticket/voucher. In this process, the data provided by customers during redemption are passed on to the partner/exhibitor. Reference is made, in particular, to the MOTO-ZÜRICH Privacy Policy.
Exhibition Catalogs
The customer can purchase exhibition catalogs online (if offered).
Press Pass/Media Badge
Journalists, editors, photographers, and video producers can request a press pass/media badge online for the duration of the respective event. An official press pass or an order confirmation must be provided with the accreditation request. By confirming the accreditation via the online shop, the provisions for media professionals (cf. Section 9 of these GTC) and the MOTO-ZÜRICH Privacy Policy are accepted.

2. Prices

The prices listed online include Value Added Tax (VAT) for all orders from Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein and do not include shipping and packaging costs. Exceptions are explicitly mentioned. For the dispatch of physical products, order-related shipping and packaging costs are calculated and displayed to the customer on the order overview before the payment process.

3. Conclusion of Contract

The online offers of MOTO-ZÜRICH are merely an invitation to submit an offer and are non-binding. An online order from a customer is considered a binding offer to Vollenweider & Schweizer GmbH. The customer undertakes to provide truthful information when placing their order.

The contract is only concluded with the acceptance declaration by MOTO-ZÜRICH. Invoicing or delivery of the products or provision of the services counts as acceptance. The confirmation of receipt of the order by e-mail is not considered a declaration of acceptance.

4. Delivery

Tickets purchased online entitle the holder to direct access to MOTO-ZÜRICH. They are offered for download (PDF) on the website and are also included as an attachment (in PDF format and as a Passbook/Wallet file) in the confirmation email. Postal dispatch of online tickets is excluded.

All other products (e.g., exhibition catalogs) are sent by post without registered mail.

The specified delivery times are indicative and non-binding.

5. Payments

Payment for the products and fees ordered online is made exclusively via the payment options displayed in the online portal (e.g., credit card).

6. Warranty and Liability

MOTO-ZÜRICH guarantees that the products delivered by it do not have defects that negate or significantly reduce their value or their suitability for the intended use.

The liability of MOTO-ZÜRICH is limited in any case to intent and gross negligence. Further material and legal warranties are excluded.

MOTO-ZÜRICH assumes no warranty for the functionality and presentation of third-party products (especially apps or externally linked content).

7. Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to admission tickets and paid exhibitor fees, as these are services related to leisure activities that are to be provided at a specific point in time or within a precisely specified period (cf. e.g., § 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB in German law, which is applied analogously in Switzerland).

For other products (e.g., exhibition catalogs), the customer may withdraw their order within one week of receipt without stating a reason. The withdrawal must be made in writing (e.g., letter, e-mail) to:

In the event of an effective withdrawal, the services received by both parties must be returned.

8. Technical Security and Availability

For the secure operation of its online services, MOTO-ZÜRICH works with specialized companies and relies on recognized technology. Customer data is handled in accordance with data protection legislation (see separate Privacy Policy).

The online offer is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Exceptions to availability are technically induced interruptions or influences of force majeure that are beyond the control of MOTO-ZÜRICH.

9. Provisions for Media Professionals

Journalists, editors, photographers, and video producers are entitled, with their accreditation to the event, to take photo, video, or film recordings in the halls and rooms of MOTO-ZÜRICH during regular opening hours. Close-up recordings of individuals, stands, and exhibits require the express consent of the affected exhibitors and visitors. The recordings may be used exclusively for editorial publication. In the event of violations of the aforementioned provisions, accreditation may be withdrawn.

10. Miscellaneous

MOTO-ZÜRICH reserves the right to adjust these GTC at any time. Customers will be informed of changes by publication on the website.

Should one or more clauses of these GTC be invalid, this shall not result in the invalidity of the entire GTC or the entire contract. The ineffective provision shall be replaced by the relevant statutory provision.

11. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction

Exclusively Swiss law is applicable. If Vollenweider & Schweizer GmbH is a contracting party, customers submit to the jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the Canton of Aargau (seat of Vollenweider & Schweizer GmbH) in disputes with the exhibition management. MOTO-ZÜRICH is free to take legal action against its customer at their place of residence as well.
